Psalm 145:4 One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts.

If you are old enough to have children, then you should be telling them all about the things God has done in your life. If you are not yet old enough, then you can still tell your friends of all the stuff He does in your life!

Our teachers try to tell us about all the things we need to learn through school and other education; what is stopping us passing on our knowledge about God?

Give God the glory for all He has done, is doing and will do in your life this week. Start now and don’t stop!

Psalm 145:3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.

Look back over the years and see just how much God has done in your life!

Look forward and give Him praise for all you are asking Him to bring into your life!

Nothing is impossible for God so stop giving up on prayer, start believing He is able to do things and ask Him in prayers this week.

God continues to want to answer our prayers – we just need to give Him the glory for all He is actually doing to see how awesome He is!

Psalm 145:2 Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever and ever.

Praise God today! Give Him the glory for everything which happens today!

If it is all going well and things are falling into place it is going to be nice and easy to praise God for it all…

But even if it is all going south, even if it is all falling apart, give God some praise and glory today! There is always something you can praise Him for!

And carry on for the rest of the week. Make God smile today!

Psalm 145:1 I will extol You, my God, O King; And I will bless Your name forever and ever.

How much do you talk about God? How often do you tell others about your God? How do you describe God?

The Psalmist tells us we should be lifting up God’s name above everything and blessing His name at all times!

We may praise the great men of faith and the great prophets and kings, but how often do we say how awesome God actually is?

Make this week a week of lifting up God’s name and giving Him the glory for everything which happens!

Psalm 119:46 I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings, And will not be ashamed.

Do you find it easier to talk to people your same age about God or to people older than you or younger than you?

I used to find it difficult to talk to anyone about God in the beginning but by continuing to study and write about God has given me the courage to talk to almost anyone.

I do still get scared when I am talking to people in authority…

But I have also learned that I know God’s word and probably know different parts to other people. Just share what you know.

Matthew 10:32 Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.

Jesus made many promises whilst He walked around on earth and one of those is the fact He will bring each one of us before

God just as we bring Him before other people.

Don’t be afraid of telling people about Christ because He will not be afraid of telling God about us!

Don’t look at it as an onerous task; look at sharing the gospel as telling people about the most wonderful gift you have been given whatsoever!

Hebrews 10:35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.

In this letter to the Hebrew people, the writer encourages the Hebrews to always remember their past with God as being the chosen people.

He also encourages them to remain confident after seeing so many promises come true and so much loves being poured out by God.

We must remain vigilant but also remember we too have many promises to stand on.

Christ promised us a great reward which we should be looking forward to every day.

Acts 1:26 And they cast their lots, and the lot fell on Matthias. And he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

Whilst we do not know the exact way in which the Apostle Matthias was chosen, the fact remains it was some form of balloting; be it up to God or up to the other apostles.

God chosen these men because they were willing to put aside their own lives they had grown up expecting and take on the life Jesus had shown them.

As we move forward in our lives with God, we too should be willing to give up our own expectations and live for Christ instead.

This may be a hard act to follow if you have always lived with many luxuries, but trusting God means He will give you what you need to do His bidding.

Matthew 5:19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

It is a sobering thing Jesus is telling the people as they listened to Him teaching.

We are all going to have to account for the things we have done and are doing in our lives.

God is not going to just sweep things under the carpet; yes, He wants to forgive us and to forget about our sins, but we have to make sure we ask Him for forgiveness.

Aim for the best position. Aim for being with God and pleasing God, always.

Matthew 18:1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”

We are always on the lookout for differences between us and others. We always want to compare ourselves to others. This is what we get to learn as human nature!

But when we get to Heaven, God is not going to compare us based on our appearances, or our wealth or health or any other feature.

God is not going to compare us. He is going to judge us by what we were given and what we accomplished – just like the servants who each were given various amounts of money to store.

Trust God and His judgement, not any human facts and figures!

Psalm 69:5 O God, You know my foolishness; And my sins are not hidden from You.

Nothing we can do or will get up to will ever be able to be hidden from God; and yet He is willing to forgive every one of those moments!

He is willing to put every sin behind us so we can move forward with absolute confidence in Him.

There is nothing too great for our God to forgive because He allowed His Son to pay for our sin debt instead.

God’s love knows no bounds!

Psalm 69:4 Those who hate me without a cause Are more than the hairs of my head; They are mighty who would destroy me, Being my enemies wrongfully; Though I have stolen nothing, I still must restore it.

Even though the prophets foretold of the hatred the people would have for Christ, the truth still continued to follow those same prophetic words.

Christ did not come to steal things from this world but to rather give back what was missing.

So who stole it and what did they steal?

Think about what the evil one has removed from this world and think about what Christ has achieved to restore what was taken…

John 15:25 But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’

No matter how we look at it, the prophets wrote about the hatred of Christ many years before He came.

Just because people think they can change does not make it possible without God.

God continues to uphold His word and continues to ensure the scriptures remain the truth, giving us hope and faith in what was written for our benefit.

Was there any real reason for people hating Christ? Well, not apart from Satan and what he is trying to do. Live for Christ instead!

John 12:34 The people answered Him, “We have heard from the law that the Christ remains forever; and how can You say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”

It is right to question things! This does not mean we should argue about anything and everything; we have teachers whom we should believe.

God wants us to be able to understand enough about Him so we can get to know Him and trust in Him as much as any people throughout history.

But just because someone says something does not mean you should just accept things. We need to compare what we are told with the scriptures to make sure we are being told God’s truth and not man’s own story.

John 12:27 Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour.

What do you think about on your birthday? Do you think about the horror of being another year older? Do you try and figure out what you have achieved so far?

Don’t let it get you down but rather realise it is God who has brought you this far and He is the one who has given you the opportunity you have today!

It may look scary or even grim, but unless you continue to walk with God and trust Him totally, you may not get to see just how marvellous the outcome can actually be!

Hebrews 5:7 who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear

How hard do you pray? Are you serious about your prayers? Do you realise just who you are praying to?

Questions like these should be asked by us as we start our walk with God and the answers should stick with us throughout our life with Him.

God is awesome. God is amazing. God is listening. Don’t ever forget who we speak to in prayer. Don’t ever forget He has called us to be His children and as such we should cry out to Him just as we do to our parents!

Psalm 55:17 Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice.

Right from the earliest times people have realised how important prayers are and how important it is to pray regularly.

This does not mean we need to set our clocks by our prayers times or to pray just because we need to.

God wants to have a personal relationship with us, which means being consistent and willing to talk to Him.

Pray from your heart and let God know your heart!

Daniel 6:10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.

What sort of example do you think you are setting with your prayer life? Do people know you pray? Do you offer prayer for others? Do you pray for other people?

God does not wish us to be selfish in our prayers but to pray for others always. Giving thanks to God for the prayers He has heard and answered is of paramount importance as well.

Just as we should thank people for what they do for us, we must always thank God for everything He is doing for us in our lives.

Acts 3:1 Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.

Do you regularly set aside time for prayer? How many times a day? How many times a week? Or is it monthly!

Many of us fall far short of the example the disciples set with their prayers and their lives with Christ; but this does not mean we should give up. Far from it!

God wants to hear our prayers every day and constantly. Make a change in your life today and set time for prayer as being one of those important things to accomplish every day!

Isaiah 35:6 Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert.

When Jesus gave the disciples the command to go out into all the world it was not just to speak to people but to go out and do miracles just as He had taught them.

Look up what happened to the lame man who Peter told to get up and walk; he leapt up and danced around with Joy.

Just as the prophets said the Messiah would do wonders, Jesus gave us the power to go out and do wonders as well.

Believe in what Jesus has given you and not just in what you think you should do!
