Ecclesiastes 11:9 You who are young, be happy while you are young, and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see, but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.
God has always tried to teach people to make their own judgments and choices, but the warning has always been there – we have to answer for our judgments and choices!
We have the Holy Spirit to guide us so we can make informed choices and judgments – invite Him in to live with you so your choices will be better, always!

What I have learned over the years is that God will make possible a way through which you can serve Him, through which you can make a difference!
We need to trust Christ, ask honestly in prayer and listen earnestly for answers to those prayers.

If we want to have God’s help constantly in our lives, then we should be willing to trust God and invite Him into every aspect of our lives.
God wants to help, but help often means we need to start the ball rolling by asking first!

When I first read this verse, my reaction was one of disappointment!
Why, you ask… I had just read another part of the Bible where The Lord was warning disciples about not rejoicing because spirits submitted to them, but rather to give God the glory by rejoicing their names were written in Heaven instead!
Don’t get carried away with your supposed success – it is God’s success!

2 Timothy 1:1-14 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
When Jesus said He would send the Holy Spirit to be our companion, He did not say it to tell us He is sending a policeman to watch our every step…
He said it to show us what He is giving us is more powerful than anything we have – the power to change things!
The disciples saw the power of the spirit when they went out to spread the gospel – draw on that power and live with it!

Just who are you promoting when you go to your church?
Christ warns us to submit as servants for a reason. We don’t need to be the best known person in our church – we just need to show people the way to Christ!

Acts 20:10 Paul went down, threw himself on the young man and put his arms round him. ‘Don’t be alarmed,’ he said. ‘He’s alive!’
What do you think faith looks like? Faith looks like stepping forward and doing something trusting Christ will answer your prayers!
We don’t have to have 100% faith, but we do have to believe Christ is capable of answering prayers and He will do so when asked – this is what He promised us!
Exercise your faith by showing others you trust in Christ to answer your prayers...

Luke 11:46 Jesus replied, ‘And you experts in the law, woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them.
One thing God does not call us to do is to place burdens on people’s shoulders by reminding them they are sinning all the time.
God wants us to shed light into people’s lives and allow Him to show them the sin instead.
It is our task as disciples to spread the gospel message and shed the light, inviting people in to learn more about Him together.
